Kurt Reichenbaugh reviews A FEAST OF FRIGHTS FROM THE HORROR ZINE featuring my short story, “Clawed Sod,” in issue #12 of Dark Eclipse magazine, published by Dark Moon Digest:

I always approach anthologies with an anticipation that’s not unlike taking a road trip through a new part of the country or visiting a place I’ve never been before. There’s bound to be something to admire for the effort, and odds are good that there will be a new find that will lead me on to undiscovered roads. Horror anthologies nearly always work this way for me. I’m a huge fan of the short story, in just about any genre, and fondly look back on the days when one could visit the bookstore and find any number of terrific anthologies on the racks. Some have become classics, for example Charles Grant’s Shadows series, not to mention those wonderful, charming, Alfred Hitchcock collections. Crime and mystery have also been a favorite go-to choice for me. But horror, to my tastes, seems a particularly fitting frame for the short story. And if A Feast of Frights, edited by Jeani Rector, is any indication, the market for the short horror tale is going to be here for some time to come.
