Kriscinda Everitt joins POSTSCRIPTS TO DARKNESS III lineup
POSTSCRIPTS TO DARKNESS III is shaping up to be one of the most literary horror anthologies in which I have ever appeared (I would have written ‘which I have ever appeared in,’ but I thought a dangling preposition might earn me an Old Testament-style stoning).
Kriscinda Everitt has joined the growing list of contributors for the third volume in the series, edited by University of Ottawa instructor Sean Moreland, and zombie essayist Aalya Ahmad, who has a PhD in comparative literature from Carleton University.
Everitt graduated from Chatham University’s creative writing program with an MFA, where her thesis, DREAD CONFLUENCE–a collection of strange and dark stories set in and around the city of Pittsburgh–placed second. In addition to working at the editorial department at several literary magazines, she has also presented academic papers in Oxford and Boston.
My curriculum vitae is far more slummy, having earned a bachelor of science in broadcast journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a secondary education certification from National-Louis University. I haven’t written an academic paper since my years in undergrad, the last of which earned the comment: “You missed the entire point of the assignment”.
