LOSING TOUCH at the Aberdeen a rousing success!
Thank you, everyone, who came to the Chicago launch event for my novel, LOSING TOUCH. The Aberdeen Tap couldn’t have been a more perfect place to host the event. It was gorgeous outside and the patio doors were open, letting a nice breeze blow over those cold beers.
And special thanks to Turan Yon, who co-owns and co-manages the place with Chris Mitchell, for letting me set up shop for a little while. Your hospitality was amazing!

If you missed the LOSING TOUCH signing at the Aberdeen Tap, you should still totally go to the Aberdeen Tap.
If you haven’t been to The Aberdeen Tap, I highly recommend it–and it’s walking distance from the United Center, for all you Hawks, Bulls, and circus fans.
I had a great time seeing some old friends, some of whom I hadn’t seen in maybe 20 years. And I met some new folks, too, which was just as awesome.
And also? I met the Gator Banger, which sounds dirtier than it is. It’s a Cajun smoked alligator sausage with bacon étouffée. Dee-licious, and the gator would’ve eaten me if given half the chance, so it seemed appropriate.
I also terrified a small child. If I had a picture, I would post the heck out of it. One of the high points of my life. I was going to tell him I was like a younger Santa Claus, but I don’t think he would have bought into it. These people weren’t so terrified:

Dawn’s been a fan since before it was cool. (It’s still not cool so now’s the time to hop on the bandwagon).
The next LOSING TOUCH signing event is this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Read Between the Lynes Bookstore in Woodstock. If you’re not there, I’ll be sad.

Photoshop credit? I did forget to give you credit for snapping the pictures, though. My bad.
