BLEED, coming soon from PMMP Publishing.

Perpetual Motion Machine Publishing has released the titles and authors for its upcoming charity anthology, BLEED: A BOOK OF HOPE, which will include my short story, “The Funeral Portrait”.

I wrote “The Funeral Portrait” after looking through a gallery of post-mortem portraits, which was fairly common in the early days of photography.

Forty-five total authors contributed to the anthology, including some bestselling and award-winning writers, guaranteeing that the table of contents will be packed with terrifying stories, insightful essays, and evocative poems … all where the monster represents cancer:

Table of Contents:

Short Stories

Essays

Poems

  • “Leukemia is Fookin’ Stoopid” by Anna DeVine
  • “Where the Wild Welo Waits” by John Hawkhead
  • “Impossible is Nothing” by Jack Ivey
  • “Bumper Car Bandit” by David Pointer
  • “Wounded Star” by David Pointer

The order has not been finalized, but it’s pretty safe to say that Lori Michelle’s introduction will go at the beginning. After that is anybody’s guess, but each story is worth the price of admission, especially since all profits will go toward helping children who have cancer.

The release is expected in September, coinciding with Children’s Cancer Month.
