ZIPPERED FLESH 2 “made me shiver under my bedspread”

I was surfing the internet this weekend and stumbled across a review of ZIPPERED FLESH 2: MORE TALES OF BODY ENHANCEMENTS GONE BAD!, which features my short story “The Little Things”. The review was written by Bailey Blair for the review site Book End Babes:

Somehow, I caught an old episode of GOOSEBUMPS on a kids’ channel the other day, and I got a little nostalgic. I remember reading under my blanket with a flashlight for hours at a time when a new R.L. Stine or Christopher Pike book came out, safe but scared in my own bed. Those first “thriller” books probably let me to my current obsession with CRIMINAL MINDS, but I digress.

ZIPPERED FLESH 2: MORE TALES OF BODY ENHANCEMENTS GONE BAD! struck me in much the same way – delicious, short tales of horror that drew me in and made me shiver under my bedspread.  The sequel anthology contains 22 short stories, each with their own bent on body modification gone horribly awry; each author’s take on the subject is unique and their voice palpable. Some embrace body modification as a topic of discussion, while others enter the arena with cures too good to be true or a desire to be thin taken to their most disturbing ends…
