Barnes & Noble Winter Writer’s Day to feature LOSING TOUCH
Barnes & Noble in Racine has invited me to participate in their 5th Semi-Annual Winter Writer’s Day on Saturday, February 22nd … and you should bring the kids, because it won’t be all horror this time.
From 10:00 to 11:30, enjoy picture book story time with authors Janet Halfmann (EGGS 1, 2, 3: WHO WILL THE BABY BE?), Karen Franco (JUST HOLD MY HAND), and Norma Lundstrom (THE CHUBBY GIRL).
After the children’s part of the program, I’ll be fielding questions about LOSING TOUCH as part of the adult author panel.
The participating authors represent a huge variety of adult fiction and non-fiction, including memoirs, theology, local history and culture, and yes … horror:
- Anita Meyer (IN SEARCH OF THE HOLY LANGUAGE)
- W.D. Gagliani (WOLF’S GAMBIT)
- David Benton (“Piper at the Gates” in ZIPPERED FLESH 2)
- JoBe Cerny (I COULD HAVE BEEN A CAB DRIVER … BUT I BECAME AN ACTOR INSTEAD)
- Nick Comande (CLIMBING FOR CAUSES)
- George Fennell (RACINE, WISCONSIN: DRUM AND BUGLE CORPS CAPITAL OF THE WORLD)
- Craig Swanson (SOMETHING IN THE AIR)
- Diana Kanecki (CHANGING THE BAD HABITS OF THE WORLD: A TASTE OF CORRUPTION IN CHICAGO)
Following the panel, there will be a writer’s workshop from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and an open house from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., during which time you can bring your books for personalization and talk less formally with the participating authors.
If you missed HorrorFest at Racine’s Barnes & Noble in October, you’ll definitely want to come to this event!
