A FEAST OF FRIGHTS delivers “chills, creeps, surprises, horror, gore and even laughs”

Amazon reader Charlotte Vale has written a five-star review of A FEAST OF FRIGHTS FROM THE HORROR ZINE, an anthology edited by Jeani Rector which features my short story, “Clawed Sod”:

A FEAST OF FRIGHTS, available at Amazon.com.

A FEAST OF FRIGHTS, available at Amazon in paperback and Kindle.

I have to admit that I typically don’t read horror; I typically watch it if I feel like a good scare. The trouble is that my imagination is way more vivid and unlimited than anything Stanley Kubrick, Tobe Hooper, or John Carpenter can throw on the screen. I get the willies after a good horror movie. But I tend to not sleep for weeks after reading one good horror story. So, anyone who has read this anthology knows that I haven’t slept for the greater part of the month.

I was initially drawn to this book based on the caliber of authors listed in the table of contents. I’ve become a fan of Christian A. Larsen‘s and Eric J. Guignard‘s work over the last year. I wanted more stories by these two fantastic writers, who consistently deliver, and to try a few new names (new to me, at least) like Shaun Meeks, Susie Moloney, Simon Clark, Graham Masterton, and Joe McKinney whose bios intrigued me.

Each and every one of these authors delivered not only frights but chills, creeps, surprises, horror, gore and even laughs. I have discovered a new and disturbing side to my personality by reading their stories and those of the many other talented writers here. This book is proof that you should always take a chance with new genres and new authors. Looking forward to reading more by these talented folks. But I’m going to catch up on my zzz’s first!

But don’t take Vale’s word for it, grab a copy of A FEAST OF FRIGHTS and find out for yourself–maybe pick out a few favorites of your own and post a review:

A FEAST OF FRIGHTS (The Horror Zine Books) is a product of THE HORROR ZINE, a monthly e-zine that publishes new issues the first of every month.
