Read “Cataldo’s Copy” in the upcoming QUALIA NOUS

What defines existence? What is true? What is real?

Written Backwards, publisher of the CHIRAL MAD anthologies, has accepted my short story, “Cataldo’s Copy” for the upcoming charity anthology, QUALIA NOUS.

“Cataldo’s Copy” represents something of a watershed moment in my writing career, in that I dreamed the opening scene. I wasn’t sure at the time whether it was the beginning of the story or the end at the time. When you’ll read it, I think you’ll understand why.

I’m also excited to report that Usman Tanveer Malik‘s “The Vaporization Enthalpy of a Peculiar Pakistani Family” and Paul Anderson’s “In the Nothing-Space, I Am What You Made Me” have also been accepted into the anthology.

Editor Michael Bailey appears on the 2013 Bram Stoker Awards® final ballot with his short story, “Primal Tongue”, which features in ZIPPERED FLESH 2. Bailey also edited CHIRAL MAD and CHIRAL MAD 2, the latter of which has two stories nominated for Stokers this year: Gary Braunbeck‘s “The Great Pity” and John Palisano‘s “The Geminis”.
