SHADOW MASTERS is for “anyone that is a real fan of horror”

Barnes & Noble reader “Just-In” has posted a five-star review of SHADOW MASTERS: AN ANTHOLOGY FROM THE HORROR ZINE, which includes my short story, “The People Eaters”:

SHADOW MASTERS is the third anthology I have read from The Horror Zine and might very well be the best of the bunch. The line up of well known and new names is impressive and full of pure talent. Even though there are a few slower, less-than-my-taste stories in the pack, all in all there is enough in here to make me want to re-read the book again.

Some of the best ones for me where James Marlow‘s “The Thing That Was Not There”, Shaun Meeks‘s “Red Velvet”, Scott Nicholson‘s “The Hung Preacher”, Melanie Tem‘s “The Classmate”, Elizabeth Massie‘s “Wet Birds”, Christian A. Larsen‘s “The People Eaters”, Simon Clark‘s “The Tin House” and Tim Jeffreys‘s “The Cellar”.

think anyone that is a real fan of horror, likes Stephen King, Brian Keene, HP Lovecraft, Clive Barker, Caitlín R. Kiernan and the likes, is sure to love this anthology. Highly recommend it.

SHADOW MASTERS, edited by Jeani Rector, continues The Horror Zine’s series of annual horror anthologies, and features both established and emerging writers, like:
