QUALIA NOUS to include stories by Little, Hagelslag
Bram Stoker Award® nominee Michael Bailey has announced the selection of two more stories for the upcoming horror/sci-fi anthology from Written Backwards, QUALIA NOUS, which will include my short story, “Cataldo’s Copy”.
John R. Little has contributed a time travel story called “Second Chance” and Peter Hagelslag’s long fiction piece, “Lead Me to Multiplicity”, will also feature.
Little won a Bram Stoker Award® for MIRANDA, and has also authored THE MEMORY TREE, PLACEHOLDERS, and the short story “Tommy’s Christmas”, later chosen by Isaac Asimov, Terry Carr, and Martin Greenberg to appear in 100 GREAT FANTASY SHORT STORIES.
Hagelslag lives in the Russian Federation and works for an offshore company in the Black Sea. He’s placed short fiction in APEX DIGEST, THE JOURNAL OF PULSE POUNDING NARRATIVES (VOL. 2), and NEW WRITINGS OF THE FANTASTIC.
Here is the working table of contents for QUALIA NOUS (ordered alpha by author):
- “In the Nothing-Space, I Am What You Made Me” by Paul Anderson
- “Lead Me to Multiplicity” by Peter Hagelslag
- “Cataldo’s Copy” by Christian A. Larsen
- “Second Chance” by John R. Little
- “The Vaporization Enthalpy of a Peculiar Pakistani Family” by Usman Tanveer Malik
- “Good and Faithful Servant” by Thomas F. Monteleone
- “Kilroy Wasn’t There” by Pat R. Steiner
I haven’t read the other stories, but according to Bailey, QUALIA NOUS “is shaping up nicely” and features “awesome stuff!”
