Let’s get together and do it again

The last day of the 2014 Texas Frightmare Weekend begins at 11:00 this morning at the Hyatt Regency Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport, and I’ll be there signing copies of LOSING TOUCH with my compadres until my plane takes off this afternoon.

Yesterday, I wandered away from the Post Mortem Press booth long enough to take part in a panel discussion with C. Bryan Brown (NECROMANCER) Brad Carter (SATURDAY NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD), and Magen Cubed (FLESHTRAP) about why creative-types tend to be substance abusers. I asked if there were any cops in the room and was accused of treating the panel like an AA meeting.

I also got a chance to wander around the vendor rooms (there are two of ’em–big, Texas-sized rooms). I saw Chandler Riggs (Carl from THE WALKING DEAD) signing autographs at a table next to his co-star Scott Wilson (Hershel Greene), and when I went back later with my wife, Carl was gone. Just … fffpt! Who’s turn was it to watch Carl? Anyway, Maureen still got her picture taken with Wilson, which was pretty cool.
