LOSING TOUCH to be part of Barnes & Noble’s HorrorFest 2014
Halloween starts a week early this year. Barnes & Noble in Racine is hosting HorrorFest 2014 on Friday, October 24th, and I’ll be part of the authors’ panel between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m., talking about LOSING TOUCH and writing horror.
Rumor has it that Bram Stoker Award®-nominated author W.D. Gagliani, author of WOLF’S CUT will also have a seat on the panel, along with a number of other great horror authors.
From 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., Linda Godfrey, author of WEIRD WISCONSIN, will be conducting a workshop about writing, research, and the craft of horror. Godfrey’s specialty is local cryptozoology, so if you’ve seen a hodag or chupacabra in your backyard, she might be able to help you with that.
At 8:00 p.m., the open house begins–which is your chance to talk to some of the area’s spookiest writers about their work, and maybe pick up a signed volume in the process.
And the best part is, when it’s all over, Halloween is still a week away, so if you like the holiday as much as I do, going to Barnes & Noble’s HorrorFest 2014 will help turn an afternoon of trick-or-treating into the weeklong festival it deserves to be.
