Halloween week begins today at Iannelli Studios

You never really outgrow story time. The stories may change, but experiencing a narrative roller coaster never gets old. From 2:00 to 5:00 this afternoon, come hear some of Chicagoland’s scariest authors read from their newest and most popular works as Halloween week gets underway.

Iannelli and wife, Margaret, 1916.

Iannelli and wife, Margaret in 1916 (Chicago Daily News).

Brian Pinkerton (author of KILLER’S DIARY), Richard Thomas (editor of THE NEW BLACK), J. Michael Major (ONE MAN’S CASTLE), and John Everson (THE FAMILY TREE), will join me as we read and sign books this afternoon at Iannelli Studios Heritage Center in Park Ridge.

The event is free, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of all titles will benefit the Kalo Foundation of Park Ridge, which was founded in 2006 to safeguard the artistic legacy of the city through education, advocacy, and preservation.

Alfonso Iannelli was a sculptor, artist, and industrial designer who’s studios at the corner of Northwest Highway and Elm Street in Park Ridge grew to become one of Chicagoland’s most famous art studios in the early 20th century.

Christian A. Larsen is the author of LOSING TOUCH, featuring a foreword by New York Times bestselling author Piers Anthony, now available in paperback and ebook formats from Post Mortem Press.
