If you can make it to Chicago this weekend, you really should make plans to attend the Chicago Ghost Conference at Carl Schurz High School, where I’ll be selling copies of THE GHOST IS THE MACHINE, QUALIA NOUS, and LOSING TOUCH in the vendor’s room tomorrow. But don’t wait on Saturday, because the fun starts tonight.

Tickets for the Friday through Sunday event are just $50, and include Jay Warren’s silent film accompaniment, “30 Odd Minutes” live, and the magic of Vince Wilson tonight, all main stage and library speakers, meet-and-greet experts and celebrities, Parapalooza Saturday night, and an appearance by Chicago TV icon Svengoolie on Sunday.

Fellow Post Mortem Press author Cynthia Pelayo will also be floating around at the conference, so if you’re lucky enough to pick up a copy of her novel, SANTA MUERTE, you can get that signed, too.

The Chicago Ghost Conference is also asking that you donate to the food and toy drive. Please bring non-perishable food and toiletry donations for the Catholic Charities food drive, or a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. Bring ten items of any cost and get a free ticket to any future Chicago Hauntings regular tour. Not a bad deal for a good deed.

Christian A. Larsen is the author of LOSING TOUCH, featuring a foreword by New York Times bestselling author Piers Anthony, now available in paperback and ebook formats from Post Mortem Press.
