CPFF Spotlight: “A Hot Summer Chill”
Thanksgiving weekend is just a couple of days away–and that means stuffing yourself (with stuffing) and maybe doing some competitive shopping, if that’s your thing. Why not wind up the weekend with a day full of independent paranormal, supernatural, and science-fiction movies at the Chicago Paranormal Film Festival this Sunday at Schurz High School?
Admission is only $10 (about the cost of a single movie ticket) for a day full of features, shorts, and documentaries, like “A Hot Summer Chill“, directed by Ben Wydeven, based on characters from his novel, DROWNING DEMONS:
“A Hot Summer Chill” is a short supernatural thriller about an alcoholic spiritual medium who becomes entangled with a family’s poltergeist, and is just one of many films screening Sunday at Schurz High School on Milwaukee in Chicago.
In addition to the movies, festival attendees can also meet special guests like award-winning FX artist Joe Mistretta from 4 Finger Fx Studios, learn more about one of the area’s most haunted locations with The Path to Bachelor’s Grove exhibit, and shop the vendors’ room, where I’ll be signing QUALIA NOUS, LOST IN THE WITCHING HOUR, and my novel, LOSING TOUCH, featuring a foreword by Piers Anthony.
Just $10 for a whole day of fun, and a welcome change of pace from putting up holiday decorations. I hope to see you there!
