CPFF spotlight: “Insane”
Films begin screening at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow at the Chicago Paranormal Film Festival. Doors open at Schurz High School on the corner of North Milwaukee and West Addison at 9:30 a.m., so get there early for the good seats. What am I saying? They’re all good seats.
First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the “feature film” and “short film” categories. The short film block starts at 2:45 p.m. and includes “Insane“, about a director (Andrew Fleming) who is scouting a shoot in an abandoned psychiatric hospital and accidentally stirs the ghost of a vengeful spirit. Directed by Adam O’Brien, INSANE was inspired by events that happened in a West Virginia sanitarium during the roaring 20s.
Tickets are $10 and available at the door, or you can donate a new, unopened toy and/or two non-perishable food items for admission to this all-day event, including a dozen films and access to the vendors’ room, where I’ll be signing copies of BLEED, THE GHOST IS THE MACHINE, and my novel, LOSING TOUCH.
