Hear TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD at B&N in Racine

Coming June 14...

Coming June 14 from HarperCollins.

If you went to high school in America after the Kennedy assassination, you probably read TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, Harper Lee’s only novel. It won a Pulitzer, was adapted into a film starring Gregory Peck, and birthed a million horrible theme papers … and now it’s got its very own sequel: GO SET A WATCHMAN, penned by Lee before she wrote MOCKINGBIRD, making it a prequel of sorts, but set 30 years later.

WATCHMAN is scheduled for release July 14, and Barnes & Noble in Racine is celebrating with a read-a-thon of MOCKINGBIRD from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13. I’ll be reading from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., which is probably before the ham costume part, but still pretty cool. Other readers include Jordan Debbink (HEROES OF FAITH), Gavin Schmitt (THE MILWAUKEE MAFIA), and Elizabeth Ridley (SEARCHING FOR CELIA).

The event is absolutely free and part of Barnes & Noble’s read-a-thon at their stores nationwide, so if you don’t live or work near Racine, Wisconsin, you’ll be able to find a Barnes & Noble near you, where you can listen to passages read aloud from TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD on Monday, July 13.

Christian A. Larsen is the author of LOSING TOUCH, featuring a foreword by New York Times bestselling author Piers Anthony, now available in paperback and ebook formats from Post Mortem Press.
